This week on Trapping Across America, we have….well me….Clint Locklear. I am getting interviewed by Norm Blackwell. He thought this would be interesting to do, so he could ask me questions about what it was like for me becoming a professional trapper. For years Norm thought I had money somehow when I got started, boy was he mistaken. Becoming a pro trapper is different for everyone, for me it was by the skin of my teeth. One thing I was sure of, I was going to make it, security be damned. So if you are struggling to make your dream come true, it may suck sometimes, but worth every bowl of Ramen you have to eat.

If more lure makers would respect beaver knowledge, they would know why the chemical that gives DELTA RED it’s color is so powerfull. A must have on a any real beaver expedition.

  1. Nice to hear you on the other side of the microphone. Really enjoyed this one. This sheds a lot of light on what it takes to truly make it in todays trapping marketplace. i think that a lot of guys that listen to this that may never have plans to pursue trapping full time, nor have quite enough ambition to jump in with both feet without looking back, but can still pull from this interview a wealth of information that can be used in their part time ADC business, or even in their personal lives. Good to hear your story first hand and come to know how you ended up where you are today. As well, I enjoyed hearing that my interview wasnt a one time listen for you!! LOL I’m working on the mink hard right now, and hope to have some new and even more entertaining stories for round 3….~R~
